We have a very clear and practical understanding of healthcare and the National Health Service in the UK and of healthcare internationally.
Our healthcare team is comprised of highly experienced healthcare professionals that include clinicians and former NHS senior executives.
We have successfully completed a broad range of assignments in the UK for the Department of Health, Hospital Trusts, Primary Care Trusts, major independent sector healthcare providers and for specialist support companies who provide services in the fields of pathology, radiography, sterilisation, IM&T and tele-medicine.
Internationally we have provided a comprehensive range of services to a wide variety of countries. Such services have included health economy capacity planning, identification of appropriate delivery structures, implementation of new and innovative clinic models, design and implementation of countrywide IM&T solutions etc. We have recently operated in such countries as Botswana, Sudan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Mexico and Qatar.
In the UK we have recently been involved in the following areas:
- in depth reviews of the effectiveness of acute service delivery, including options for transferring suitable services to community settings;
- provision of Master Classes and mentoring to those lead individuals engaged in the commissioning of services. Areas covered included:
- payment by results
- practice based commissioning
- information collection, audit and analysis
- risk and performance management techniques; and
- contracting and procurement
- developing new strategies for urgent/emergency care;
- leading a strategic review for the Department of Health focused on the high level design of financial and payment systems; and
- strategic reviews of health provision across individual health economies with particular emphasis on determining appropriate delivery structures, chronic disease management, hard to access groups and ease of patient access;
We have also:
- secured clinical, management and political support for radical change using a comprehensive stakeholder management strategy to underpin the majority of the above projects; and
- assisted major private sector healthcare providers to tender for and mobilise centrally and locally procured healthcare contracts through the provision of strategic bid leadership and consortium management.
- Internationally we have:
- undertaken strategic studies to determine future health demand and appropriate delivery structures for entire health economies/countries or by individual service;
- designed national training regimes and supporting structures to deliver country wide specialist training;
- designed country wide healthcare IM&T systems;
- undertaken capacity and facility planning for a number of health economies/countries; and
- introduced extensive tele-medicine systems;
To ensure the success of these projects we have a comprehensive strategy for achieving clinical, managerial and political support.
